Description
Kinda bad quality photo, but I gave up after a while of trying to get a better one. This one took me a looonnng time and was mainly a practice of using an armature. I thought the baby was small enough that it didn't need an armature, but by the time I realized it did need one, I didn't want to start over. It really only needed support in the neck, so when I baked it without the armature, the head leaned out in the most utterly derpy, unnatural position. Unfortunately my carelessness forced me to have to remake him again.
Other than that I'm happy with this one. I do wish I could come up with a better technique for a closed mouth, though, rather than the ugly engraved mouth on the mom here. Any suggestions?
Approx. 6 inches long, 5 inches tall. Sculpey and Fimo clay over wire and foil armature.
